[media] - Cardcaptor Sakura and Gender

Webcomics (at least the ones I've been reading) are kind of in a placid lull right now, so instead I'm going to talk about Cardcaptor Sakura. I recently downloaded the first three seasons and have been steadily plugging away at them. I had seen the series before (in its mutilated dub form-- and I DO mean mutilated), but I had never watched the japanese version, or sequentially, which was something I had been longing to do.

[webcomic] - Better Days - Friday, June 16, 2006

Dear Mr. Naylor,

You can't conclude chapter 14 ("all the wrong places") like this. You just... can't! It leaves so many more questions than answers!

[webcomic] - Questionable Content - June 14, 2006

I'm not sure what's the worst part about Thursday, June the 14th's deathbot joke. That he said it, that I understand it, or that I found it so. damn. funny.

[art] - Attack of the Chibis

So I'm taking a new strategy for Anime Evolution this year... SUPER ADORABLE CHIBIS! They're eas(ier) for me to draw, and I think they'll go over better. I'm only selling mini-prints, too, so it should be very low-stress for me :)

These are the ones I have done so far!

[media] - Mangarific - Next Exit vol 1 and Bizenghast vol 2

So I stopped by the comic book store this evening to pick up Christy Lijewski's Next Exit vol. 1 BUT while I was there, Bizehnghast vol 2 caught me by surprise! I didn't even know it was out yet! 0_o I was more than happy to pick them both up and I read them both when I got home. HEARt!

Next Exit - Vol. 1

[Sorry I stole the image from your servers, Christy! ^_^;; Amazon.com's photo was wrong and I couldn't find it on SLG's website :( :(

Ok, so I'm steadily plodding through adding new code and doodads to Wasted Talent. I added 24 new strips yesterday, so go check them out! This is also [hopefully!] the last entry using this news code, becuase I'm integrating it with my new blog: http://www.wastedtalent.ca/blog

[webcomic] - Jack (June 5, 2006)

Finally! A happy ending in a Jack story! :D [strike]At least so far...[/strike] I was really really concerned about what would happen in this Joanne and Jeremy arc, but I couldn't be more pleased :)

[tech] Engineers and Disasters

The words "engineering" and "disaster" seem to go very naturally together in the psyche of all those who aren't engineers.

This Wired Article 'showcases' some of these disasters. I have to say that I don't agree with the list... first of all for their choice of disasters and second of all for their haphazard presentation.

[internets] - Captain Jean Luc Picard

You don't deserve to wear that uniform!

Today on the internets, I came across someone who didn't know who Jean-Luc Picard was. It was indeed a very VERY sad turning point in my life. WHAT have we done to our youths that they do not know the greatness of Picard??

LET YE BE EDUCATED.
