At the dollar store here, they sell pregnancy tests for $1, so last summer, me and about 4 friends pooled our money and filled a cart with them and some rubber gloves and vasoline jelly (also $1 each) and went to the register.
The girl behind the counter just GLARED at us... I guess it didn't help that we were all guys... :(
>_>... Get a hair cut fish! Haha... My hair ish longer than his though... I'm a hypocrite now. I feel bad.... Don't get a hair cut Fish!
I love doing that. - the cart thingy.
Like a few others, I am a transplant from Questionable Content as well. I went back and read through all of the comics you have. My fiance kept asking why I was giggling to myself.
Go get a haircut, you hippie.
Madam Web Comic Lady-Person, you are too much like my fiance'...
it's eerie... but in that fun bitey kinda way.
I must Say I found this Through Questionable Content..
I registerd Just to post this comment
I had to Google the Capital of Canada.
>< I live in New Zealand.
Though I do play Ice Hockey ><
What a co-incidence lol, I'm also a kiwi who found this place via QC, read thru all the archives, and had to look up Canada's capital. I don't play ice hockey tho...
All Kiwis are welcome! Blame Trevor for the Ottawa thing, he really likes making people learn things about Canada.
Ha - yet another QC migrant, this time from London (thats UK, not Ontario). But thanks for reminding me to get a hair cut.
Currently at home, day off to study. Wasting time reading Wasted Time. Lime most science - circular argument. Exams in 2 weeks, 5 days and 23:23 now (and counting)
Whee, more QC migrancy. Blargh, after the simplicity of the forums there, I am very confused by these ones. Obviously this is my fault for generally being a forum-lurker.
This comic is awesome :)
Teh Jamz and Trevorz remind me of myself and my boyfriend, and people think we're unusual :D
lol gotta love all the QC migrants xD
I love playing on the trollies like that!!
I am also a QC migrant, from Virginian Private school (you'd be surprised how many Canadians we have here), and I actually had the right city for the capital. I just misspelled it, as "OttOwa". But, on topic, you are probably what I'm going to end up looking like in 6 years. Except I won't be feminine. :-P
Sorry to say, but I'm on the fish's side here - long hair's the way forward :P
QC, PC Weenies, XKCD, ECOL, c0ders... and now wasted talent. Finding time for work is getting harder each time :-P
Anyway, I've laughed a lot reading you, I have read all the 367 comics (actually I made a little BASH script to get them all automatically :-P), each one is like a true moment of life. I think that's why it is so funny.
Oh, and BTW, I didn't have to google for ottawa... but I'd like to know if you'll had to google for the capital city of my country ;-)
Greetings from Uruguay :-)
This comic strip is a metaphor for their relationship. The cart represents their relationship in that they will both end in a wreck of twisted metal with her simple minded faux-pedophile boyfriend at the controls.
And, yeah, QC migrant here, too. Though Jeph put this up as a pity link.
I'm a kiwi QC immigrant too! We're everywhere! :D
Fortunately I read this thread before I registered so although I would like to say I didn't have to look up the capital of Canada, that'd be a blatant lie :p
I don't mind long hair, it depends on whether it suits the person who's sporting it. It suits some people, looks god awful on others. It also helps if they wash it more than once a month...
Another QC reader here...many thanks to Jeph for recommending your great comic! Also, I have a half-Canadian roommate. :)
Yet another QC reader, from Poland this time.
I also read though the whole archive and it was great fun. I love the art and the humor, and I can relate to may things you've drawn/written from my experience. Thanks for sharing & good luck at your new job!
PS. Google searches for 'capital of Canada' must have spiked up recently ;)

I almost did the same thing too, but it didn't look right with an o.
Last summer my friends and I did a scavenger hunt where your team gets certain amounts of points for getting pictures of yourself doing silly things. One guy went into Zellers and found a pack of small condoms and asked the person working there if there were any smaller sizes. This same person went through the McDonalds drive thru in a shopping cart and got a cheeseburger.
It's funny because I have a horrible habit of holding onto the cart no matter who is pushing it (mind you I'm a 22 year old man). So for instance when I go to the grocery store with one of my friends, he'll have to tell me to let go of it because apparently it's embarrasing for him. So then I let go of it and meow loudly because that's less embarrassing ^_^..why won't he go grocery shopping with me anymore?
Edit: Geeze I notice that everyone's coming from QC O_o, I found WT through VG cats. I go on Scott's link page often to see if there are any new Webcomics to check out.
I guess a lot of people got here via QC. I'll admit I did too.
Anyways, I finally caught up with all of the comics and have told a few of my friends about it (who have each in turn read them all as well). I love the journal feel to both the writing and the art.
Keep it up. :)
I are Canuck! *beats chest*
I'm also a QC migrant. However, I completely blame Jam for making me stay up all night reading the archives. Her engineering hilarity is impossible to resist
Lo there! 'nother QC migrant, 'nother commonwealth brethren!
I managed to get through the archives in two days during work! Yay for getting paid while reading comics all day :)
It's funny how many people joined after jeph posted that link. What other webcomic could we steal people from?
nother migrant, but also from VG-Cats with the same reason as Daemion22. Me is from Germany and lemme tell you there are two great lies about us, first, we ain't all Nazis, second, we are not all teh ultimate unlazyiness.
Found this comic, like I already told, in the VG-Cats linklist and just had to read all the strips. I'm a sucker for webcomics and this one's just great. Keep up the good work.

Duh. I've been there.
Here's a random fact that might amuse you, English speakers.
In Polish "fish" (in diminutive form) is a completely mainstream term of endearment, but it's used exclusively for females. "Frog" is used in the same sense, while male counterparts are "cat" and "bear". Why the division? Nouns in Polish have grammatical gender :)
Im a QC'er and i love your comic! I got my BS in Marine biology but any type of science joke is oh so funny. :)
You should steal readers from xkcd - it is nerdy and romantic humour, thus if people like that they should like this. Offer Randall more balls for his ball pit if he links you >.>
