Awful xD
Ugh, I'm terrible with acronyms.
how the heck can you actually understand something of that? BRC CRR BBQ THIS IS CNN! :o
Now I know what it must feel like when my mom goes on a forum or into a chatroom.
TTCQ BLTR SXS PLDCS!! Right? I mean it only makes sense don't you agree?
...Am I buying stocks or something?
You know, while last comic, people joked about the ways the frills lined up in a... particular arangment.... I just noticed something else about the last comic that also effects this page...
She spawned a nose...
That's what I said! XD
I'm not so sure I likes the nose. >_>
sadly i actually know what the last to mean.. i think.
hint hint: (RFP = request for proposal)
who knew that english for engineers class would actually be useful.
Meow, but I know how you feel. I'm the IT guy and EVERYTHING is an acronym. When I first started working they kept talking about NARs, HOD, NALs, PIVS. I was like "mew? O_o"
/cries whats bad is, I got about 1/2 those acronyms :( The perils of being employed in the engineering field! :(
*mini-rant* And WHAT is the deal with making me LEARN while trying to register on the Forums? I had to freakin Google what the capital of Canada was cause my first 3-4 guesses were wrong! :P
Friendly bit of advice (for anyone in this predicament):
The next time you're in a meeting, and acronyms are flying left and right, write as many as you can on a piece of paper. After the meeting, approach a co-worker or supervisor and ask him to translate for you. You'll get the answers you're looking for and you'll show interest in your job.
I wonder how many Canadians, got that question wrong?

I got to say that is the most creative bot blocker I have heard of.
E.I.T = Engineer In Training ^0^
OMG
WTF?
TBH
IDK.
[P.s. that was a joke, i iz nor a chatspeeka]
My god, you've been sucked into a Dilbert strip!
Yeah ... I'm not so sure about the nose either .... tis cuter without! Noses are overrated anyway! (*can't draw noses to save her life*)
Having just finished an 8 month co-op with our esteemed military, I can tell you no one used more acronyms than they do. I have heard many conversations as depicted in this cartoon, and the scary part was, towards the end of the co-op I understood them all...
That, and there is actually an online document for acronyms there, courtesy of the CDS office. :-?
Hey, I'm new here, found this site through a link from QC, read through the archives in about 3 days. XD Great comic, keep 'em coming, please? I love the Jammy talk, you two are so kyewt. XD

I believe it!
I'm new to WT, found it through QuestionableContent like a few others, and plowed through the entire archive in two days.
Just wanted to say congarats on the new job, and I think your comic is amazing. It's in my top 3 favorite webcomic list after only two days!
And I'm kind of scared....I actually caught a few of those acronyms, and I'm not even an Engineer O_O
I've gone through all of your archives today (what better way to avoid studying for a final?), and I adore your comic.
Don't you just love the obtuse terminology? I work in the bike business, and I don't understand half of what the service guys are talking about (well, when it's work-related. I understand the dick jokes).

also came here via QC - and also just finished the archives - avoiding studying... procrastination ftw! :D
Hahaha, if this happened to me, I would be likely to just yell "OMGWTFBBQ!"

Ahahaha, yes, this little Swedenling also had to ask his dear friend Mr/Mrs/Ms Google.. I always used to say that Geography was my worst subject, guess it's still true. *smirk*
And regarding acronyms, I know how that feels, studying IT, I can find conversations consisting practically entirely of acronyms, good thing I do understand them. But it would be hell for someone who doesn't talk the talk etc. ; )
LOLWHUT?
Wow... That's so very true. I still don't know what 90% of the acronyms mean at my workplace.
"Ask the ERD." "ERD?" "New guy." "Why didn't you just say so?"
(Sorry. Long time reader, first time poster)

Heh... while I didn't have any trouble figuring out that Ottawa is the capital of Canada (ok, ok... so maybe I did almost say "Toronto"), I just kept getting it wrong because I was spelling it OTTOWA, which is kinda the phonetic spelling of how I pronounce it.
*Shrugs*
*brain splode*
