#365 - Informational Update!

Hi there, been reading your fine work for awhile now and decided I'd finally register... if only to point out what no one else has... [removed by mod] :shock:

[edit by mod], no actually, you know what? I'm going to remove that. Not because it offended me or anything, but because now that is ALL THAT I CAN LOOK AT in the damn comic and I don't want others to be ruined in the same way.

Everyone likes the girl that shows camel toe at the office.

Where did you see her saying that? Seriously, I want to know because up to this point all of the comics that have been work related are just cute little anecdotes, but with things as they are now, people dont like themselves to be shown online, thus the need for stan.

Stan is a everyman so that when Jam wants to do a comic about an amusing event at work, its not a specific person getting pointed out. Shes never criticized a boss or coworker before (only the code books), so I don't really see her doing that now with a job she genuinely likes.

Also, seriously folks, were you looking THAT closely to notice the since edited feature? Really? I had to really look in there and even then it looks like a stray line, which is common when you ink by hand. Its all very depressing, really.

tl;dr: think before you post.

Richek: The introduction to "Stan" said it all. If she really enjoys this new job and does not want to lose it then it would be best if she did not discuss it at all; no matter how humorous the event was for her to talk in LOLCat vocabulary. How can you not think this has a high chance of affecting her negatively in the future? Like it or not, companies and businesses make it a regular task to look at their employees' online life to see how they portray themselves.

Saving the world? when i saw your look and that you were about to hold the earth, it should stand: DOMINATING THE EARTH :o :evil:

I never really understood the "We spy on our employees and fire them because they're living their lives outside the office and online in a way we do not find appropriate" thing. I mean, they're basically dictating how their employees live, isn't that illegal? I guess it makes sense if the person is dumb enough to post REAL names of fellow co-workers and such, but a lot of them use fake names so I don't see how companies have been getting away with this. I haven't kept up with it yet, but has anyone tried to sue yet? Maybe the companies are allowed to fire employees for whatever reason they see fit, but it just doesn't sit right with me.

Also I guess I came in late enough to miss the whole "stray line" thing and I'm greatful for that.
