I think most people around Vancouver have gotten caught up in things now. For some reason my bosses actually expected us to work earlier today when the Mens hockey game was into extra time and we had a TV that was showing it.

I'm kinda jealous. I miss the west coast so much :( I'd love to feel that *energy*.
But I also know that if I was there now, trying to get around and do my day-to-day that the wall to wall olympic tourists would be driving me absolutely mental.

Not a Canadian/Olympic/engineering expert, but it seems like there have been a high number of problems with the designs, or construction of some of the Olympic elements, Le May Doan's (cauldron) erectile dysfunction, the killer luge track, The Canadian ice resurfacers, etc.

*cough* okay, one, the luge track wasn't really Vancouver's fault. The IOC had to approve said luge track. HOWEVER, the fact that people got hurt and they didn't do anything and it took someone DYING to fix that is unacceptable.
Also, Canada's gonna kick USA's butt. ^-^

(Go Canada!)
I'm heading back to Canada today. :P What have I missed? Oh, the first week of the Olympic chaos? Did I do that? Hehehe Man, I'm kind of scared heading back... I hear that the Canada Line has turned into "everyone is a photo op" centre. Haha I'm wondering if I should just hide. From the comic, I was right, the world is in our backyard and it is getting a bit cramped. Haha.

Long time reader, first time commenter (commentor?). Your comic is funny. And the fact that you're a Canadian (like meeee) is just that much more awesome. =D

The bear thing is supposed to be a Sasquatch/Bigfoot, if I remember right. I still don't know why our country used it, but he looks hilarious so I don't mind. Now I just need the Olympics to come to the Maritimes... (Too bad it's never going to happen :P)

Have you actually been to any of the events/ have you seen any athletes whom you recognize? It sounds like a lot of fun ^_^
I was downtown tonight! Extremely crazy fun.
Will we see a return of Trevor's Beard now that the competition for the Canadian hockey team is heating up? Today's game was pretty thrilling!

My word that looked hard to draw. I envy you all. It's really hard to watch the fly over scenes of Vancouver on the tv and see it all...

Downtown is awesome. Grandville island is kinda spooky and empty though.

Nice. I'm sure the bear-thing would be explained if I lived anywhere near Vancouver.

The bear thing is the Olympics mascot :/
I still don't really understand why the bear thing is an Olympic mascot but I tend to ignore it. (i think the games are better that way)

Also, 7-3 over Russia! YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!
In my memory all olympic mascots have been pretty...odd. And unidentifiable. So Sasquatch seems pretty perfect to me.
