The English term traditionally used for that on engineering drawings certainly is boring - but informative. As far as I'm aware the term mostly used is 'General Arrangement', often simply referred to as 'the GA drawing'. Goes back into the dark ages... and hey, I prefer the German one too!
Glad to see the new job seems to be going well!
Congratulations on the new job!
Working international programs is fun. Always something new to learn & do.
Typo: it's Übersicht, with an umlaut.
i can relate, i just spent two years working on some drawings that must be read by german, american and mexican engineers, getting the names in german for the parts is always fun, they sound so powerful.
funny thing, i didnt learn a thing of german
Speaking from Germany, I always find german sounding so rigid. Its fun to see it from another perspective! :)
I'm sure my German-speaking readers will find this comic especially silly. I assure you, the English name we were provided was very boring, even more boring than "overview"!
