Well, there goes any chance of me being productive today. I'm going to end up looking out the window all day thinking this.
its always good to be prepared... i don't do it for when i snap though, i do it for when the zombies come.
@sepheris Agree, at least we'll be prepared for some invasion or something like that... Nice one :P
Yup, there's some good zombie preparation for 'ya. Remember, never take the best building, take the second or third best, with a view of the first two.
This is why I like parks by the primary schools... They will never see it coming...
You should've asked them what building they would pick. If so, you could stop them if they are suddenly going towards it without reason...
@deserthare, yeah, id be picking good sniper spots incase of zombie invasion. the roof of my house would be quite good..
Personally, my choice is behind one of the logic trainers in the elec lab. Get my lab partner to raise his hand so that the TA ignores us, then while she's facing away shoot from between the oscilloscope and the voltmeter/ammeter thing.
[FPS games addict] Try to hide inside a room on the top floor, and then shoot from outside a window, but don't let the sniper rifle outside the window. Also, don't pick up the tallest building, or you wont be able to aim correctly... besides, the highest you get, the strong the wind is. [/FPS games addict]
Heh, when I lived in Vancouver I did the same thing... we'd be driving across the Burrard bridge and I'd be looking at some of those condos and thinking "man, that'd be a great spot for a sniper nest..."
I mean, you know, 'til the rain started. Then it'd suck. :)
Yikes! Take notes and plan the best place(s) to duck and cover!
@spilledinkguy nah just make sure to bring them cupcakes and stuff that way they don't aim for you
I place my bet that the guy with the green shirt snaps first.
@pimp chickens i say the one in the sweater he is older and doesn't have much more to live for.
No one uses a good roosting spot any more. To many caring about the view rather the how effect it is. The crazy get more and more sane as the years go on.
I used to walk down the aisles of the supermarket I worked at boasting about how easy it would be to burn the place to the ground. Oddly enough, it didn't surprise anybody.
I've already picked mine!... is that weird?
The town I live in doesn't have any tall buildings. I think the tallest is actually the courthouse that goes up 5 floors, maybe? Not the best spot to snipe from either since the cops are already there.
I don't think it's mutually specific to office workers. Any guy you meet has several things ready to go, their Zombie plan, their sniper spot, and their list of "if i was gonna die, these are the people i'd take with me"
@Pimp Chickens, deserthare : hahaha, you're both wrong, the one one in purple will snap first :D
Given that I am into guns but have never made such plans I have to wonder!
Hm, the "sniper spot" is new to me, though the list of people who get taken out first on "Snap Day" is certainly in effect.
awesome
And I thought we were bad. Shucks, that sounds worse than all the people floundering in the 19 degree weather down here in the South. D:
@Lafcadio you may be right... its the one you least expect who snaps first. though i would assume i knew better since i was unofficially known as the "kid who will shoot us all up." in high school... not the best title i know, and i never lived up to it either.
not a lot of tall buildings where I live. napalm is a better choice!
@deserthare So i'm not the only one who was unofficially voted "most likely to shoot up the school!" I never lived up to it either... Or maybe I did and I'm typing this from jail =O
yeah for me its no longer a question of if i snap its when......there is a giant difference between the two. i have already started my list of who to get rid of first that way it gives a fair chance to the people who were nice to me to get far far away
Sometime in the past week or so, I found one of your more recent comics here:
http://www.halforums.com/forum/showthread.php?8767
Since then, as I always do with new (to me) comics*, I've been going through the archives. At times, I was having a hard time getting away from the computer... I was kind of hooked. But now I'm all caught up! :D It took quite a while to get through 2006, let me tell you... But once you switched to less comics, but in color (and more detail?) the pace picked up. Here were a few of my favorites: #106, 171, 334, 413, 430
So I'd like to thank you for keeping me entertained over this past week or so. I enjoyed the trip! I'll be watching and reading. :)
P.S., Your passion for your work makes me feel like a bum! So I've been inspired to work even harder to get a job in my neighborhood (Metro Detroit area...), so I can afford to go to a local media arts school. Wish me luck!
* I've even done this with Sluggy Freelance, Scary Go Round, GPF, Goats, and PvP in the past. Man those took forever.
I saw this linked from Kym's facebook after I met her this past weekend, and was happy to see another comic bred in Vancouver. While I was at TechBC (now known as SFU Surrey), we had a own comic done by a couple of students there as well: http://comic.truenuff.com/comic.php?day=20010228
Thanks for the good laugh, I've hit up the entire archive now, so I'll be sure to follow along :-)
