Hopefully I've explained it well enough, but I fear that this joke is so far inside that it will only be appreciated by fellow patrons of The Crystal Mall. I've decided that it doesn't matter - this comic is sort of my love letter to my favourite food-court and I really wanted to draw it. I had a lot of fun with it, so I hope you also find something to enjoy :)

LMAO~ wish my office had chosen that option~ We had platters of Subway subs OTL
Crystal sure has the best food fair around~ I was hoping to meet a friend there for lunch this past holiday break, but he was too busy. D:
LOL! Liked it :)
And I must say - The drawings of food are absurdly appetizing! Have you considered offering menu illustrations to diners and such? I don't even llike a bunch of the foods youd rew and your drawings mad eme want to run out and buy some!
Funny as hell. I even had the melody in my head as I sang that to myself.
My company went cheap-skate on me just as I started and killed the free food platters. We still get generic vitamin water (Costco Kirkland brand) and such on occasion (basically when we threaten to mutiny). Other than that, we share a potluck of sorts between the employees.
(On the 13th day I died in a grease fire.) Hahaha, oh wow.
I actually sang out loud this carol, I just had to.
Outstanding. I packed a lunch today, but I think I'm going to Crystal Mall, instead. The 13th day was a nice surprise that made me LOL! Happy New Year!
Replace "Crystal" with "Pac Mall" and the joke works for people in Toronto too.. Not every urban centre is so blessed though *has a moment of silence*
Annnd now I'm going to Chinatown, this comic made me hungry
im not sure if you're referring to chinatown vancouver or chinatown toronto. i've never been to chinatown toronto but chinatown vancouver does NOT have appetizing chinese food for the most part...
Now, now, Chinatown Vancouver has some ok places, you just need to know where to go :) (I'm still ferreting out the good cheap places, but there are some nice places in the higher end. Personally I'm excited to try this place http://www.bao-bei.ca/ )
never heard of it. i actually havent lived in van for a while, been studying in the states. having a website isn't an encouraging sign though... but that'd be passing judgement too quickly.
i'd ask if you like dimsum but i seem to recall you mentioning you're a vegetarian.... but if you still go to dimsum from time to time, try this place out...

I do like Dim Sum, even though there isn't much I can eat it's still fun to go out with friends. I'll have to try that place!
Boston's got the Leslie U Student Union for cheap and excellent Asian food. ...kinda too many syllables for the tune though.
LOVE IT! When I was working in LA (Torrance, actually) there was a similar mall close by that had the same kind of selection. I miss it... now it's hard to get agreement on a single place.
i never bothered commenting on these strips but for this one i gotta....
crystal mall has BAD and OVERPRICED chinese food. iono how you ever got the impression that it was excellent.....
- some guy born in taiwan and grew up eating chinese food.
I got to the end and then thought "Isn't Jam vegetarian?"
Yeah I can't eat most of this stuff :( I still enjoy going there
I like how everyone at your office is color coordinated. :P
This comic's funny! Funny how they all opted to have the money to spend on their own to splurge on food. I guess I'd do the same thing too if only such options were available. Not only can I eat 12 days of restaurant food, I can also recook it the following day for breakfast and Save money by eating leftovers.
