I'm out in Chilliwack. At one point it was 42C in my condo. I'm sorry, I live in south-wet BC because it's cool and soggy, did Mother Nature not get this memo??

Try Fresno, CA. We're right next to Death Valley, over here. Clouds must cross hundreds of scorching flatland and a mountain range just to GET here.

This would be why she says not hot by objective standards. People in the entire region are pretty wimpy about weather (being another person from the region, I'm allowed to say that).

Personally, Fresno is about as close to hell as I can think of, at least as far as places that people actually live go (Venus is number one if you exclude that requirement). No ocean, no rivers...hell, where do you guys even get water from? No cold, even in winter. Ick. Give me Yellowknife any day...at least there, you can kill what annoys you in the summer (blackflies being more susceptible to nerve gas (Raid) than the sun).
