Hehe, kinda the same boat here. Although, I do slightly see why they love taking care of it so much. I suppose they assimilate it as a part of their identity as well. I've seen a lot of guys do this, too. Really, if people didn't have hair, it would be a HELL of a lot harder to recognize people. But I think most girls take it to a more sub-physical level and locate a part of who they are in their hair. Then again, I am a boy with relatively short hair. Therefore, I know nothing.
EDIT: Why does it say my BBCode is off at the right side of the post edit, but in my profile it says BBCodes are on...?
I will post a photo when I get back from san fran :) Hair is a major part of a woman's identity. Because it is (typically) longer, the cut and colour really does transform one's appearance. And sometimes it's just nice to alter what you see in the mirror. It lifts one's spirits.

I had a friend that would drastically change her hair anytime something changed in her life. I understand the concept, but in this case it happened enough that it became kind of rediculous.

I just read the QC guest strip and it was great. A very interesting approach from the psychiatrist's perspective. I also thought pretty much all of the dialog was very loyal to the characters. I kinda flipped too when I saw the comic up and was like "OMG Is that who I think it is?!" I scrolled down to be sure before I even read the comic, I thought it was just awesome.

I just registered to your website specifically to post this comment: after the QC guest strip, I came here (procrastinating) and unfortunately became addicted to your comic.
SO MAKE MORE!
That is all ^_^

I'm part of the QC deluge. Love the comics (and if Trevor disappears anytime soon, it's because I stole him and am keeping him in my basement. Don't worry, I will feed him regularly and let him play WOW).
I love following someone's life through comics... when I saw the graduation one I got really happy, as with the one where you got a job. It's just so much more fun when you know it's really happening!
The stylist did a great job figuring out my cryptic description. The change in marker colours doesn't really do it justice, it's a big enough change that half my co-workers couldn't recognize me =_=

I love the hair... It looks nice! ^____^
I don't understand wimminz obsessions with hair.
My hair is probably longer than yours now D:
can you show us a photo?
I got a haircut too! Too bad it's not nearly as awesome as yours.
Lookin' good Jams! :D

Heheh Last tuesday I had my hair dyed brown.
None of my teachers recognised me.

Apparently going from Bright Blonde to Chocolate brown is a Shock.

Haha, awesome guest strip on QC! Poor Hanners. She should never have ventured into the bowels of 4chan.
Love the QC strip!
Heh, I'd just like to thank QC for sending me to this corner of the internet. It's amazing what kind of gems you can find once in a while...
Favorited, after reading the entire archive.
I love the new hair! That's something like what I do to my stylist, bring in random pretty colored objects and ask her to make my hair that color. :)
The QC guest strip was wonderful too! I hope it brings even more people in to this comic, that would be awesome for you!
Love the new hairs. Have loved the comic since a previous QC post. thanks for being extra-special cool!
Hey! Those are mine!
Those hairs!
Loved the QC guest strip, too, btw. :)
loved the QC comment... do it again sometime!!
If only it was that easy for everyone! They should let you spec out your hair colour by either RGB or CMYK codes.

I love this comic! So funny in it's own way. Makes me smile too! Love the new hairs (even if it's only a drawing of it).
I stumbled upon your comic through QC. I've spent the last two days reading through it all. I absolutely love it! Keep up the good work!
