My favorite engineering moment was when I was a new hire at a chemical company (I am a girl), I had this mentor, who asked me with a serious face if he could count on me in a fight. I said something like, "I don't think they do those here." And he responded, "where I come from, what happens in the back parking lot stays in the back parking lot." Apparently there are a lot of FightClubs in the steel industry.

I got told by my old boss to go and takes these two massive nuts to, a very attractive, girl that was waiting in the front of the shop. I straight away thought a joke was being played on me but she was really happy when I gave them to her :P
