I already told my folks if/when I ever marry its going to an elopement, then we just need a little 'recepetion' afterwards (which translates into "rockin party") WHEN we finally tell them. Would probably be about a year later that I'd tell them b/c they can be that awful about big ceremonies and the like.

After both my brother and sister's weddings (within 6 months of each other no less), my parents were actively campaining for my wedding to be in Vegas. I'm sure I could put together a totally awesome Star Wars wedding there. That is if I ever meet that special someone... *looks around wistfully*

I want a very simple signing at the courthouse with a witness and a HUGE party (which includes Rock Band) a few days later. Hell, I'd be happy with a week off work as my honeymoon =D

Traditionally the bride's parents pay for virtually all aspects of a wedding, making it potentially very expensive. I'm not surprised that people like to avoid that expense. And Congratulations Jam. I wish you guys well.
@marcus, Yeah, green tea, it just didn't scan so well. We met my sister in "Jersey Style", probably before, too. She lives in PA so I don't see her often. :( I'll take a pic of my bunny hat when I get home.
Don't be sad Jam! $75 is a lot of monies....... I could buy so many things with that...... like a tank of gasoline..... or plushies..... yes.... plushies. who needs gasoline when you can have 3 or 4 new fwuffy fwiends who don't judge you?

So funny how money's value is diminished when someone else gets more.
Tell him to make it an even hundred.
What? C'mon, $75 will fill up the car twice D:
Or, not even that in Canadian monies XD
Hey, I could do a lot with $75. :P
I wouldnt do anything productive, but I'd enjoy myself for a while.
Oh, a real romantic is your dad, huh? Even at 15K, he'd be getting off cheap. Your betrothed is even worse. You kids today...

What is the neon green drink you are drinking? Green Tea.?
Jam's Dad & Gordon Freeman, separated at birth?
Once again... congrats~!
Also, is being bribed to elope some new 'thing'? Or do I just have a knack for coming across people with parents who want to avoid weddings?

Is this the first time we have seen Jam's sister? I like the detailing on the ear jewelry, and her low reaction levels.
