My favourite cube salvage is one of those magnetic paper-clip-holder-thingies. I'm still on the lookout for a good 3-hole-punch :3

Jubs steals first post. he-he
<- guilty of this too... 'cept I stole the whole cube ^_^
I always try to get the paper clips un-stuck from the magnets in the box, just by shaking it. I never succeed ><.
I once scored a TI-83+ graphing calculator. And there was an expensive textbook once, too, but I already owned a newer edition so I left it for someone else to salvage.
I find it creepy that a little man was under your desk the whole time. :3
I love the term "cube vulture" -- certainly the practice has been around for as long as cubicles. Any place I've worked we haven't been able to salvage anything very valuable like computers, though -- the IT guys kept track. I did find a drawer full of loose change once -- about $40 worth of dimes, nickels and pennies.
Ah, the three-hole-punch. A legend around the office. Always sought, never found.
HAHAHA!!! I love the expressions of the man in green!
Your comics are amazing!
[Milton] ...'scuse me... I believe you have my stapler.[/Milton]
The one under the desk is a Cube NINJA!!!
lol that was funny hehehehe
I would have snap at them and chased them all for the fun of it. I don't like the old guy on panel one he creeps me out.
The same thing happens in lab science- after a lab member leaves we raid their bench for better equipment.
*giggles* They work fast. ^_^ I love how the one who is stealing your spinny chair looks. ^_^
lol i love how one is hidden underneath the desk, must have keyboard !!
I like the expression on the guy stealing the phone. It's like "GLEEEE~ I get a tellyphone! <3"
Oh awesome, It's that guy from Comic 390. He's in panel 3... or the bottom left corner. XD Sweet.
Does this Seriously happen?
I mean, I know that the company will reorganize all of the gear, and I remember that I packed up and brought away a couple of things - converter cables - from my first job as a tech.
Still. Stealing the monitor and crap like that? I mean really, is anyone that still uses CRT's at work?
In a super-huge company like mine, it's way easier to salvage something than to go through the proper request channels.
Thats how every military back office seems to operate as well.
Our offices never buy anything new we just take it from a dept that closed/moved/reorganized...heck my office just got 3 desktops that way :P Anyways, love the comic..keep up the good work =^.^=
@ Jam:
... Orly? ... In that case I'll prolly buy my own crap and bring it in. =\
Did anyone realize the one taking the keyboard is under her desk... how long was he there with out her noticing?
Oh God... Duecetitan is right.... Creeeeeeeepy!!!
I was wondering when someone would ask that.
well, I suppose he COULD have snuck in while you were telling off the mouse thief...
Ur funny Jam
I totally would have taken the chair! So much fun to spin in.
Last time I worked in a cube I left out cheap decoy pens on the desk so people wouldn't steal the good ones in the drawer.
I wonder if the monitor-stealing pose is a deliberate reference to the "What if they (two co-workers) team up?" Dilbert strip?
Or maybe I just find it hilarious that there's apparently a standard pose for stealing monitors over cubicle walls. :)
Also: Very nice framing on the last panel, with Jam against the white wall and breaking the panel boundary. It really reinforces the theme of leaving. As does the rolled up mat on the back, bringing hiker's bedrolls to mind.
what i did last time is that when i in i dint have nothing even a computer .... when i see the chance i got a desk a chair and a computer ... so instead steal a few things just steal the whole place jajajaja i am still there after 2 years and i love this place i can look for the chief if is coming so i close my games >_<
