This reminds me of when I was a kid and lived in Germany for a while. There was a cherry orchard down the road, as well as apple trees just randomly growing everywhere. Those were fun times.

Three hours later Jam was at the doctors after she turned purple from eating several hundred berries. Jam recovered by an infusion of coffee and witty webcomics.
Angry squirrel turned a strange shade of ochre, and has since recovered after several weeks of rest and switching to a diet of acorns.
There is no word on the status of the berries. Rumours persist they have started using a pastry crust as camoflauge.

Reminds me a lot of when I was a chainman on a survey crew in Oregon in August (this would be back in the day, 1970s or so, back in the Paleozoic, I know). Armed with a machete, chopping my way back through the thicket to find a monument... hot but sweet.
