Forum RULES (Please Read!)
This forum stores comments for Lost Omens and is more of a database than an actual forum. As such, it has certain different rules from the normal forum and will be strictly enforced. I reserve the right to edit or delete posts in full that do not conform with these rules.
:gear:RULES specific to the Comment Forum:gear:
:arrow:NO BBCODE!
The reason for this rule is because the posts in this forum ALSO show up in the comments on Lost Omens! I've been able to get the site to translate BASIC bbcode (bold, link, etc), but it can very VERY easily break. x_x If you want to link to a relevant site or picture in your comment, please just post a 'naked' url so people accessing the comment can C&P it!
:arrow:NO SPAM!
Replying to other posts in a thread is OK, but OVERT spam (ie, the same word or short comment over and over again, advertising) will be deleted. Discussion of the page/conversation/going a bit Off Topic is OK and TOTALLY welcome :D!
:arrow:NO HATE!
There shouldn't be hate in the main forum anyway, but because comments here also show up on the main page, I will be ESPECIALLY severe about removing comments containing hate in this forum. Hate contstitues bashing of the comic or the artist in a way that is extremely offensive and not constructive at all. Also under the category of hate are racist or homophobic (etc) comments, whether they reference the artist, comic, or not. I welcome criticism of the comic and differences of opinion, but I am going to be extremely critical of the WAY those opinions are presented. If you can't do it in a civilized manner, it will be expunged. If you have beef with me or my comic, bring it up in the general forum.
:arrow:NO NSFW!
Please do not link to images or sites that are NSFW or pornographic in nature. This goes back to the BBcode thing, because I don't expect readers of the main page to necessarily know what NSFW means, I don't expect them to recognize the warning tags. If it's funny and relevant and NSFW (but non pornographic), please put it in general.
I think that's all. Just keep in mind that I reserve the right to edit or delete posts in full that do not conform with these rules.
Also, because this is a "database" forum, regular users are disallowed from creating new threads in this forum. If I let you do that, it might break whatever code I write to piggyback off it. :( Sorry! HOWEVER, you are DEFINITELY allowed to talk about Lost Omens in General!
:gear:Forum Rules (same as the general forum):gear:
:arrow:Posts are to be made in English
This means two things: 1) That if you're from a country with another language and you run into someone else from that country on this forum, please keep the convo to English. Two people talking in a language most can't understand isn't fun. I'll tolerate French though ;) And of course if you're giving *lessons* and *translations*, that's cool, 'cause I like to learn different languages.
2) English means full, properly written english sentences. No 1337 5|>33|<, No AOL/IM/TXTMSG shorthand abbreviations. Please take your time and use proper spelling and capitalization. That way people won't think you're stupid, and I won't kill you.
:arrow:Hate will not be tolerated.
Hate means: racial slurs, discrimination, and just all out flaming. Playful ribbing is cool (as long as it's clear to both parties that you're playing), and heated debate is cool, but as soon as it degrades to something not civilized, I'm takin' yeh outside.
:arrow:No NSFW
NSFW means Not Safe For Work.
Posts and links that contain pornographic material are strictly not allowed. I want this to be an all-ages board. However, cursing is permitted.
:arrow:Images, Sigs, and Avatar sizes: keep it reasonable!
Some people may be viewing with a slower connection. Therefore, your avatar should be no larger than 100px*100px and should not be a very high filesize (no huge animations). I'm not putting a sig limit, because I think they're annoying, but I also find huge sigs annoying. The maximum size of sig I will allow is about 100px*400px (a small banner.) In-line (loads in the forum) images should not exceed the width of the board. Stretched forums aren't very fun.
That's all I have to say for now, be civil and HAVE FUN!

Ok will fallow. Is html ok then?
